Candle Warmer Table Lamp

A candle warmer lamp melts a candle from above using heat rather than lighting the wick, and the difference that makes is larger than it sounds. A burning candle consumes its own fragrance oil in the flame, which is why a scented candle often smells strongest for the first twenty minutes and then fades. Warming the wax instead releases the fragrance without burning it off, so a candle throws scent more evenly and lasts considerably longer than it would if you lit it. There is no flame, no smoke and no soot marking the wall above it, and no wick to trim or tunnel down the middle of the jar. It also means you can use a candle you would not want to burn down: an expensive one you are reluctant to consume, or one whose wick has drowned or been lost.
