It needs a supply at the mounting point, so decide the position first, confirm a feed is there or can reasonably be run, and buy once that is known. Adding a wired sconce to a wall with no supply means either chasing a cable into the plaster or accepting surface trunking, and both are much better understood in advance. If you are comfortable with household mains wiring the installation is simple; if not, it is a short job for an electrician and worth doing properly. Height deserves a moment's thought as well. Beside a bed, roughly seated shoulder height puts the glow where it is useful without putting it in anyone's eyes; along a hallway, a little above eye level keeps it clear of the sightline; flanking a mirror, level with the face gives the most even light. Two mounted symmetrically almost always looks more deliberate than one placed centrally. Care is an occasional dust with a dry cloth, and resin should not meet solvent-based cleaners, which can mark the surface. Beyond that it is a fitting you install once and then simply live with.
